I’ve got my aquascape in but not 100% happy with it. I’ll play around with it this week and get some pictures posted.
I did the HNSA on mine.
Got some Marco rock, broke it into small pieces and glued then together. Have loads of overhangs, caves, flat sections and all floating on a single base rock.

Zero dead spots in the tank.

I’ve also edited my stocking wish list. Does anyone see any problems with these inhabitants living together?

2 x Clowns
Pink Streaked Wrasse
Rainford Goby
Citron Goby ?
Neon Goby ?
Watchman Goby + Shrimp pair
Pom Pom crab

I’m planning to add the clowns last.

Careful on the Citron goby, if you want to add SPS to the tank, they’ve been known to nip at Acropora.

You also gonna need a fairly deep sand bed for the goby and shrimp pair as they dig holes, so any rock must be flat on the glass or egg crate to prevent rocks falling over.

Thanks for the heads up on citron goby.

I used “real reef” rock flat pieces to build a base and a little cave system for the shrimp and goby as well. The rest of the rock is stacked on top of the flat pieces.

Here’s a couple tank shots. Waters still a little hazy after moving the rock around. And the pink Goni hasn’t come back out after being moved. But I’m really glad I washed the sand very thoroughly…no more day long dust storms!

Edit: After taking a look at these pics it looks like a solid rock wall. But, there are some caves and tunnels in the rock work. There’s a CARIBSEA life rock arch and a tunnel in the base of the structure.

Right now it’s at 50% step wave forward. Any more and it starts to blow around done if the finer sand in the Bimini pink.
lol, nice.
I’m running 2 of them in random wave at 40% each. Would up the flow more but my clowns are getting blown around.

Price one thing but also my reefer 170 is not a G2 so I would have to modify the sump. At least from what I have read thats the case. The G2 have removable baffles, at least my G2 reefer 300 does.
The reefmat 250 works perfectly in a older 170, you can just hang it from the front

I’m debating getting a roller for my reefer 170 and torn between the AF-RS170 and the Reefmat 250.

Questions

With the AF how easy is it to change the filter roll?

With the Reefmat, what do you do with the emergency flow pipe if you only need to cut the main pipe?

So far the fish list is:

2 - Mocha Clowns
Yellow watchman goby with Tiger Pistol.

Debating between a firefish and Royal Gramma.

What do you guys recommend?
