My Tank Thread
Okay an update on the tank
4-2-18 8:30 PM PST
Temp 78.8
Salinity 1.025
PH 8.4
Ca 440
KH 7 2.50meq/L
PO4 0
NO2 0
NO3 <1
NH3/NH4 0
Mg 1200
I added 2 clown fish
I seem to have an outbreak of brown algae in my fuge and on my rock.
My tree coral totally bleached out and I think is toast
I think the light was a bit much so I moved it higher and turned it down. I did move the tree coral to an area with less light on the bottom of the tank.
I would have thought my nitrate would have been higher with the adding of the fish and feeding.
Any suggestions?
I did order some live sand as this is a bare bottom tank will this help?
I doubt whether live sand will change any of your reported parameters, unless it has dead stuff on it that leads to a temporary nutrient rise.
Nitrate may take time to rise, or the foods you are feeding may not be sufficient to overpower the uptake by organisms in the tank.
