Too small. They grow super fast and adult size is that of a dinnerplate. I just took in a sailfin for my 300 gallon from a guy with a 160 gallon. He had the fish 5 months before it outgrew his tank. The fish couldnt even put his fins up he was so cramped. He is 7 inches long 7 inches tall roughly. I would stick with a yellow or scopas in that tank if I were you, especially not being a 6 foot length. The blue hippo in the picture is 8-9 inches for size reference and the naso tang is 6 inches long
No! Your tank is too small. Who knows what will happen when you introduce additional fish in a tank that size. I have a 168 Gallon (Thinking of going to a 236 Gallon - reason ...Tangs) and only keep two tangs (Sailfin and Blue Hippo). Remember their temperament and that they have personalities. I have a Sailfin and a Blue Hippo (my Blond Naso went MIA years ago). Another concern to think about is does your reef have enough caves for every one? If you move forward with you sailfin - remember to give him room - When they raise their fins their relative size can double. My Sailfin thinks of it as his reef. He goes on the dawn patrol every morning. So be careful and thoughtful. Good Luck and Happy Reefing!
