Pretty sure I know the answer but would like everyone’s opinion. I received a delayed package of corals from another vender. FedEx shut down during last storm. Water was cold. Corals had bleached , others melted, and 1 with skin peeling away. Vendor was awesome and sending a replacement box. I put one acro and sps (that skin was peeling away) in a tank to see if any chance of recovery. Will these corals stress other corals or cause them to die? Am I just messing up my tank having them in the tank? It’s not my main DT but still have other frags near these.
When in doubt, run carbon. That should prevent organic waste from saturating the water column and having any major effects on the other coral. But if you ever see what looks like brown jelly (usually has a fishy smell), nope nope nope. Pitch it!
