Man oh man this tank is absolutely perfect. Worth the wait and turned out this day was just the prefect day for it to show up.
My son and I spent most of the night getting the stand setup. i have to ne honest some sections in the instructions really make you think.
Tonight we started to make the water. Hopefully we will be ready to start the transfer and break down of the xl525 tomorrow.
Going to be a fun day for sure haha still not 100% sure how I’m going to do this.
question for everyone..
My filters for my RO got delayed today from shipment.
My current system just started to out put around 2 tds.
Is this still a save level for the water?

Looks awesome and happy yours has arrived. 2ppm is negligible IMO. I usually do 2 stage DI to get solid 0 for good long time. It allows the first DI to get fully exhausted then the 2nd will go to the first stage and a new DI goes to the second stage.
how did you move that beast off of the stand parts? (How many helpers)?
Mine was ordered a few days after yours and still no news… like you I have been very anxious too.

Moving it was not that bad my and my buddie with some glass suctions cups in the photo on the side picked it up and placed it on two dolly's. that is where it currently sits.. Now to lift it up we will need at least another 2-3 people its that heavy..
Ya maybe i setup up the RO/DI wrong I'm just not sure I think the last 2 stages should be di but I have one di and one carbon ?
It was doing 0 for a while like 4 months. I actually just upgraded the system to a 200 gallons day BRS kit. so now I'm pumping water fast as heck. So I put two brand new 100 gallon membrane in. What I have not not changed for about 4 months now are all the other filters, carbon etc... the last 2 stages it comes in at 3 and leaves at 2 so its got to be the last 2 resin that I do not have color chaining in? ,..

From the picture its hard to tell but looks like from left to right you have a sediment filter then carbon and I am not sure what the 3rd one is.. 4th and 5th look to be DI resin. Do you have a hand-held TDS meter? Those in-line ones can sometimes be off.
For TDS to get to 0 you usually you need to change your DIs. Carbons and sediments help your RO membrane to last longer but they don’t do much to lower TDS. Carbon actually raises TDS believe it or not. Thats the result of reaction it makes with water..

Got my di resin and back to zero.
I will post more photos later I’m so sore I can’t move.
Stayed up to 4am then back at it at 8am did not want to lose fish had them in buckets.
so far no fish lost. However my purple tang has a foggy eye think he may have ran into something.
not done with my rock layout just had to get them in

Yes it was a huge break down and setup up.. Took me about 48 hours I got about 4 hours of sleep each night.
Everything is looking really good except my purple tang. He looks so beat up fins look bad eyes are white and he is just swimming at the glass and refuse to eat. If know one chimes in here on what I should do I will post in the fish help forum.
The suction cups worked perfect.
We had two on each side which allowed two people to lift on each side of the tank and me in the center. One side they could not lift all the way and capped out about half way up. I had to move from the center over to there side to help lift. The tank is extremely heavy I should have waited for more help got lucky they we did not drop it.
the tank is now fully setup most of the wiring is done waiting of some cable hiders.

Well the purple Tang has started to look better today. His eyes are not as bad and he is now eating and swimming all over the tank. Love the space they have in this tank.
Going to do some water test today.
I'm trying to switch from Coral Pro to IO Purple Bucket to save some cost on salt with this big boy.
Plus I noticed that the Coral pro was running a higher then I wanted my water at any way.
My trident current readings
CA 505
MG 1300
Alk 8.4
Not sure why the CA is so high going to test with my Hanna kits a little later.
Going to do some water test today.

Hope your tank is doing well. I was supposed to receive mine today but the entire bottom of the pallet was destroyed so I had to refuse the delivery. Lets see how/when Red Sea will respond. Bummer..

Dang that's a bummer sorry to hear that.
My tank is doing well just going threw a nice algae bloom at the moment. Clean up crew is finally getting released to ship and some frags I have been waiting on. Also waiting on My foxface Powder blue and cleaner wrasse from Drreef hope those will ship next week.

Well work has giving me a few hours to work on my tank. So time to do what i can..
First i had to order a ReefMat 1200 as I cant keep up with my socks when out of town.
I also picked up some new testing equipment.
The hanna Marine Master Multiparameter Photometer and a GS refractometer from Milwaukee.
The problem now is non of my Salt test are the same haha..
hanna hand test probe shows 32
Apex trident shows 34.3
The new refractor shows 35
So i no my salt is somewhere in between haha..
I also decided to build out a quick canopy to stop the light from blasting my eyes when trying to watch a move or work on my pc. I did not want any light coming thru so no doors very light can can take on and off no problem.
