Hello, if starting with a reef mat for a 100 gallon tank and abt 30 gallon sump, would you go bigger on a reefmat so it would last longer and filter better like the 1200, or would the 500 be good enough and hopefully doesn’t burn through the filter as fast

Any one, thinking about going with a 40 breeder sump and install a baffle kit
if you think total water volume is 120-ish or lower then maybe the 500 would be sufficient unless you think you’ll need a lot of mechanical filtration. Just my opinion
