Greetings all,

I’m in the process of acquiring all of the necessary equipment to complete the new tank.

The idea of the roller mat intrigues me for many reasons, not the least of which is the ability to lengthen maintenance periods. I will be the only person in the house who would ever change a filter sock.

The Eshopps data indicates that it is roller mat ready, but that is where the information ends.

I would greatly appreciate any help in finding a possible solution.

Thanks!

The Sump has a removable filter sock bracket. I'm not sure how plumbing works for the roller but I would assume you remove the bracket, install the roller, and then modify the plumbing to the sump to run through the roller.

Stick photo since I'm not at home and the 100 (in the 70) is slightly different but you get the idea I hope.

So where the two holes are is the "bubble tower" where the original plumbing runs into the sump. The two filter socks are sitting in a removable bracket that just sits in the frame. Pull that out and "drop" the fleece roller in that spot.
