For anyone interested in going themselves I thought I’d do a cost breakdown.
Flight: $270 (great deal compared to usual)
Lodging: $60/night (beachfront B&B)
Food and drink: $35/day (not including breakfast, see above)
Diving: $100/day (2 guided dives with everything included)

In total I spent around $1300. Affordable to someone like me. Probably could have found cheaper dives but the people I dove with were really good.

Wow, $270 for the flights were a steal. I flew American Airlines a few months back and they treated me horribly so I got a $100 voucher for future flights with them. I was going to plan a trip like yours but now I have to go to a wedding in Florida this October.

It sucks now as the tourism is really kicking off on the island. I have a longtime friend with a house up in the hills on West End side, been going once a year now for most of the past 10 years. I am lucky that I just pay electricity when I'm there.

I've done some snorkeling at West End, West Bay and Camp Bay beaches, and it's beyond beautiful! After seeing those pics, I wanna scuba soooo bad now!

Roatan is one of my favorite places ever. Amazing people, food, beaches and swimming/snorkeling/diving.
