Pool supply or amazon

But get the filter ordered first because its going to protect you from both chlorine and chloramine. Im just a stickler for knowing exactly whats in the water source lol
I plan on running to Lowe’s tomorrow to get one of those filters. The sooner I can get this resolved the better I’ll feel

Oh....lowes would not have something like that. They have activated carbon filters but you want this brand. Activated carbon is not the same for all applications. There is a pore size that matters in the carbon.

Just use your RODI as normal until your filter arrives. As long as your resins are covering the bases you are good.

You might need a resin replacement soon but if and when you do....message me.

I use nothing but spectrapure products. They are the BEST.

That’s the problem, it’s the reason for my high ammonia. I’m needing to do a water change, I no longer trust the lfs water due to the last time it turned my water green (freshwater and saltwater).

Do you order your resin from Spectrapure or from Amazon?
I just ordered a Mega Max DI from Amazon. I like their description of the product and Spectrapure has little or nothing for description.

I actually ordered a full set last from saltwateraquarium.com

It was the cheapest set of maxcap filters available.

Thanks, I just checked their site, I never thought to look there, yes they have good pricing, I will be ordering from them for now on.
I am going to look into the Enduro Resin as well, I think I might have one but I am not sure if not I will buy one, I kinda went on a buying spree when MD went under.

I got one of those test for total and free chlorine, at tap it was between 1&2 ppm on total and 0.5 on free. Between the Ro and di it went to zero on both. My tds readings are 131 at tap an 9 after rodi.
Sounds like its not making it past the membrane yet.
And 100% chloramines. .5 to 1.5ppm of them.

You can also test your WASTE water to see what is getting past your carbon blocks, before your RO membrane
