Like..."come on guys...you wouldn't shoot a guy with a bowtie right"

Edit...I realize this may not be funny to some people..
there's a now former patient that has been calling in almost every evening this week with death threats on the staff. Really hope she gets the mental help she needs and doesn't escalate any further.
but yeah, don't hurt the bowtie.

Question for everyone!
what your biggest hurdle you had to overcome in your reef tank when it was new and how did you beat it?

Green hair algae, it was everywhere on everything, id pull, scrape it, everything you could think of. One day I some advice from someone about feeding and adding bacteria like microbactor 7/clean and slowly but surely it went away after about 3 months. I wanted to quite but i stuck with it and it paid off.

My reluctance to test was the biggest obstacle to my success. I was complacent and allowed my parameters to go all over the place. I was not providing a very stable environment for the animals in my charge.
To get over the issue, I set aside a time in the evening when I could conceivably test daily and tried to get at least one test in nightly and all 5 on Sundays.
It has made a huge difference in my reef and has contributed to a period of success.

really that's interesting! i usally go with the hermit crabs and PO4 remover method but i can see the imbalance of bact making a big headache in any reef

you know thats one of the biggest thing i try and impart on a newbie! Test you own water often! without it you might as well be tasting your water and making adjustments
