I have and love my apex system, but for basic on and off control the Kasa smart power strips are hard to beat too.

I have a bunch of the individual ones as well. You lose the ability to see power consumption compared to the power strip but I rarely use that function anyway. I also use their light switches and cameras too.

I like the smart light bulbs as well. It's nice when I'm not home to be able to control the lights to deter unwanted visitors.
