I just wanted to put out a review of this vendor (again Saltybottomreefcompany.com) after a very good online ordering experience. I've been in the hobby quite a long time and have never heard of them. I actually found them after a google search looking for a specific fish, that I was unable to find through my usual vendors, or locally.

I had some questions about their shipping policy and was able to contact them through email, received a timely response that answered my questions. After placing my order, I actually got a phone call from the company to verify that my order was going to be shipped, and to make sure of what day would be best. I don't know if that is standard practice, but pretty cool.

I ordered 5 different fish and a bunch of CUC as I have multiple large tanks to keep stocked. All of the fish arrived healthy (from what I can tell disease free) and alive despite pretty cold shipping weather. They used a top shelf large well insulated shipping box as you would expect and the temps of the livestock were 65* or more on arrival. The SG of the bag water was about 1.022 which is fairly normal for livestock vendors. I always check that because I believe in matching that or at least being very close when accepting an order.

The fish and CUC has acclimated well over the last couple weeks and fish were all eating by the next day. The fish included 3 Convict tangs and a butterfly which all can be a bit of a pain to get eating sometimes.

I have to admit although everything I mentioned should all be expected and should all be the norm... It felt nice to find an online vendor that packaged and sent their livestock like they actually cared about it. A place I've been ordering from for years that I won't name used to be "that place" several years ago, but under new ownership has drastically gone downhill. I don't think I will be ordering from "that place" again until they straighten out whatever mess they have made. Salty Bottom Reef Company is now my go to for online ordering of livestock.

Hopefully this is posted to the correct section.
