So mag, alk and ca acts like salinity too?not if you’re removing it,
but if it evaporates out… ye
Yeah sorry, *elements hahahanot if you’re removing it,
but if it evaporates out… yes.
and i think you’re confusing elements with nutrients…
Yes very little of the elements will evaporate out if any. Corals and biological processes use the elements that is why they need to be tested for and replenished. You can remove elements if you remove water and put water back in with a lower level of elements like in a water change. Evaporation is very unlikely to remove a testable level of any element. So mag, alk and ca acts like salinity too?
Evaporation affects elements? While corals consuming it?
No, I'm not water changing. I'm only removing water to make water movement in my sump.Yes very little of the elements will evaporate out if any. If you are just removing water level from the sump, no. Is that water being replaced with other water? or are you just adjusting the water level? I guess I am not sure what it is you are actually doing. No, I'm not water changing. I'm only removing water to make water movement in my sump.
So if I removed water, I'm affecting elements also? (Mag, alk, ca)
Only adjusting water level. Water is not being replaced, only removed. To maintain a certain height for water movement. If you are just removing water level from the sump, no. Then no you are not changing the elements in the water They are homogenous throughout the tanks water volume.Only adjusting water level. Water is not being replaced, only removed.

Thank you guys!Changing the water level by removing tank water and not replacing it will not impact anything in a chemical sense.
