Just wanted to report on my results after following the reefmat hack thread. This was for my 1200. I purchased 5 rolls of filter material from Precision Converting at a cost of $10 each.
I downloaded the adapters from thingaverse and printed a set with my 3D printer.
I ran the first roll of material and it lasted about just as long as an original ReefMat roll and did just as good as a job. I did not want to get too excited until I tried the second roll. Over half way done with the second roll and the results look to be the same. It looks like I am saving about $23 per roll with this hack shared by other members. I must say that I am very happy with the results. Steve from Precision Converting was very responsive and very helpful. Shipping was very fast. If you are looking to save a few dollars this method would be highly recommended.

Reefmat filter roller adapter by tommy600
This adapter can be used on a reefmat filter roller (500 & 1200) to adapt the rolls to a 2" core for using different types of fleece.
