Thanks for this information. It's truly helpful to be able to connect with other hobbyists and ask their experience with products, so I really appreciate your detailed reply.

Mind sharing pictures of the rack in/on the overflow box? Trying to understand how the loc-line was blocking your par readings, but I can't visualize exactly what you were describing. Cheers, thanks!
Here's a pic. By looking at it you wouldn't think it would be blocking any light but I verified it with an
Apogee par meter.

Tank looks awsome!!!

Sorry to ask but what are the dimensions of the weir (not worried about height)
Thank you. The weir is 10 1/2 L x 3 7/8 Backglass to front.

Haven't posted in a while so figured I would do and Update. Tank shots taken today. Few changes to the Reef. AcroPower taken off and now using CoralAmino.. 100% run on Brightwell products now and the only coral food I'm using is Coral Frenzy new Probiotic formula and pellets. Added 2 Ecotech MP40's for increased flow.

Haven't posted in a while so just a little update. Tank is continuing to grow out. Only change is I'm dosing Brightwell CoralAmino daily and changed the Maxspect Gyres to MP40's.

Such a great tank and progression. Two questions: are you still running the AB+ schedule with an overall intensity 50% ? Any chance you could provide a picture of your current sump set up? I have a 425xl which is similar in size and am still tinkering with the layout.

Thnx!

I modified my Lighting schedule a bit and increased power. I attached a pic of schedule and sump as requested......

Looks great!! Wow! Are you still running your gyres on LTC? What program are your mp40’s running?
When I purchased the MP40's it was to take care of some dead spots in the center of the tank due to coral growth. My plan was to run them along with the Gyres. Flow was too strong for my LPS and softies so I wound up taking off the Gyres and Now I'm running this schedule on the MP40's. The flow from the MP's seems to reach the center and have eliminated my dead spots. Been working great!

Thanks for the light schedule and sump pictures; really great use of the stock RS ATO; looks like the ATO is filled with RO water then to the sump. Awesome!

You're welcome. Yes my Neptune ATK fills the RS ATO. Figured might as well use the extra 3 gallons from the RS ATO
