If the controller dies, how does adafruit receive telemetry?
It does not, but I think you can alert based on absence of data or by some aggregate value that’s going down

@Ranjib has there been any discussion about power monitoring for devices connected to the relay power strip? I'm curious to keep an eye on it from an equipment function/life cycle aspect.
On and off. .. I want to get this in reef-pi . I don’t know when , but the hal changes will make it easier. I want to get the ph sorted, followed by clustering and then jump on to these things. Power monitoring, humidity sensor , custom pwm profile are all in my wishlist

Cool! No worries on the time line, there are some plug in solutions I can use for the time being. I was just curious if it was on the radar at all. I have the hat coming from @theatrus so if there is anything I can do to help out with the pH testing let me know!

Woot thanks for getting to this before me. Still catching up on a bunch of replies. Ranjib also has one of the very first hand reworked RevC units - I may have made a firmware improvement in the interim but need to check my build log.

If you’re looking for more boards I’m doing 3 more panel builds (12 more boards) this weekend to put more stock into place.
I bought one [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2]

Looking to make some fill in LED bars with some cheap 3w LED's from china that will be controlled by the ReefPi. I was looking at these inexpensive driver with PWM to work them. Just wondering if anyone has used them, or thoughts if they'd work, and maybe best way to wire them in? Here's the specs...

DC-DC 5-35V To 700mA Step Down Buck Power Supply For Arduino CC/CV Step-Down Power Module PWM Dimming LED Driver
Input :DC 5-35V
Output: 700mA ± 20mA
Drive 1-10 pcs 3W LED
Supports PWM dimming
High level turn off the output
Low level Open the output
LED buck mode to ensure the total total voltage difference is lower than the input supply voltage (2-3V) .
Ultra-small size design (length 3.6cm * Width 2cm)
Constant output current, low ripple.
LED used to ensure the safety, stability, improving the LED light efficiency, reducing the lumen.

Overload, short circuit, overcurrent protection, to ensure the supply security.
Wide input voltage, VIN + is positive electrode input, VIN-negative electrode power supply input.
LED + LED anode connection, LED-LED cathode connection

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC-...upply-For-Arduino-CC-CV-Step/32828673347.html

It doesn't say the PWM signal, but I'm thinking it's 0-6v like a lot of these size drivers are...

I’m still testing out the I2C lockup condition with pH on the Pico base board. I can reproduce it using ReefPi but trying to find the most sensible workaround or fix on it. Stay tuned :)

@Des Westcott could you post the full output of systemctl, from the screenshot the right side is cut off, would be good to have the complete message.

Anyone help, mine wont let me create new "Jacks" in the config.

myschematic_bb.jpg

I'm trying to use the pi's inbuilt PWM, which are on pins 18 and 19 from what I've been guided to before as seen in my diagram below (yellow wires on the pi-hat) when I try to add a jack to pin 18 or 19 I get an error... "error:failedtocreate : error : invalid pin:18 HTTP500"

Literally no results in this thread or on google!

I had this before and Ranjib sorted me out. You don't use the designation of "Pin 18"or "Pin 19" it is like 1 and 2 or something. I'll look for the post where Ranjib answered me.
