Wasn't sure if it was different kinds or if the phyto was in different stages through the four jars! Either way, it's a lot prettier than my rotifers and baby brine set upsThere's different flavors of phyto.
Yeah, and the different strains have different benefits associated with them.Wasn't sure if it was different kinds or if the phyto was in different stages through the four jars! Either way, it's a lot prettier than my rotifers and baby brine set ups
The light behind those bottles is a workshop light that's 6K spectrum. Don't worry even Taras from TSA was impressed on how the Rhodomonas looked.Looks like a fun time! I am on the east coast so I don't make it past TX for shows usually. I'll be at reefapalooza in Orlando this year though, if ya'll think you'll make it! Either way I'll start keeping a lookout when we're out and about!
Do you have different lights behind those jars or is that just what the phyto looks like? Because if they're that pretty it might be easier than i thought to convince the ol lady to get them haha
There are different types of phyto, greens are okay, you'll want more yellows, reds and browns. Check out the site. Isochrysis galbana, Rhodomonas salina, Thalassiosira weissfloggii are all extremely popular. The website lists the products on which one sells the best. Isochrysis galbana needs to be expanded again, it wasn't popular till 4-5 weeks ago. There's different flavors of phyto.
I saw your booth at CFM Phoenix but you were busy talking to other people each time I walked by. I didn't have a chance to stop and talk. The light behind those bottles is a workshop light that's 6K spectrum. Don't worry even Taras from TSA was impressed on how the Rhodomonas looked.
Im not sure I'll be at RAP Orlando this year. My last year there was in 21' selling corals and showing off ECC Nexus anemones with some other cool corals. I wasn't planning on being at ReefStock this year, I was forced to do that one by Jacob from Fritz Aquatics.
I've been doing smaller shows, usually CFM on the west coast while I dial in the product and travel. I do need to make it down to Orlando, I have several projects waiting for me down there. Id like to spend 2-3 weeks in Orlando to fish and complete the tasks needed. I don't have that much time to spare currently.
I'll be keeping an eye out for the east coast ones. Any in the Mid-Atlantic?If you are on the West coast area, stop by at a show. Not only will you see our 4 jar kit in action, you can buy the jars, get the phyto for free and get a discount on a few other products. This was at Reefstock this last weekend. More shows are coming to the East Coast area. Thanks for liking and entering our giveaway!!!

Taras and I spoke at ReefStock. Taras is an employee at TSA and I did share my thoughts with how Steven and Kevin can make TSA live phytoplankton/feeds more competitive. If you reach out to Taras, I even told him this in person on Sunday. Taras needs more space and more equipment. Running a business you get pulled 30 directions.I think all the Taras videos on Phyto lately are helping to promote your brand indirectly. They’re making a lot more reefers aware of the importance and benefits of Phyto and you are already a trusted source here on R2R! Both of you talking about the different strains/colors and how you use them was eye-opening for me.
Plus, you offer different size bottles for all tank sizes, TSA doesn’t.
Well Evie, made me sign up for ReefStock Chattanooga in August. RAP cali will depend on my marketing budget. Last year Quality Marine was giving away pods and phytoplankton bags, to attendees after spinning the prize wheel. Currently 10% of sales are set aside for marketing expenses. RAP cali will come down to how much product can I have at the show to giveaway, and what production volume is doing on a weekly volume. I expanded the live feeds section of the shop in December got it all down to only sell out every week after 3 weeks. Hopefully things continue to grow after this next expansion is fully operation and I can count of the volume per week. The last expansion gave 200 gallons of phytoplankton weekly and the last 3 weeks every drop has been sold, each and every week.I'll be keeping an eye out for the east coast ones.
