I’m trying to use the alkalinity test with the Red Sea foundation pro kit, but when doing the titration the tank sample never goes from clear to blue, and never turns green either. after a while it becomes a pale ish yellow, but never turns blue or green. I’ve done it several times now, and I’m just not sure why. Im hoping it doesn’t mean my alk is REALLY messed up, but I wouldn’t have another way of knowing. Everything (besides my nem, see other post for that) is doing fine atm, my calcium is a bit high (480) could that have something to do with it? Is it just a faulty test?

How many mls of water are you using? 10ml is the more accurate volume. When I perform that test I add ten drops right away and it turns a solid blue…… five or six drops later it is green. I’m interested in seeing if you can figure this out. Good luck.
