Red growths on torch coral

Just trying to figure out what these red growths are on this torch. They have gotten larger over the last few months. At first I noticed 2 spots and now there’s about 5.

Do they blow off with a turkey baster? Or they are solid and attached?

How is the coral doing? Its very receded and unhappy.

How is the coral doing? Its very receded and unhappy.
They do not blow off. They’re hard and attached. I believe the coal is doing fine. That was the first time I’ve seen him that receded. Here is video of him this morning
