Heya,

After coming back from vacation, I've noticed 2 weird growths in the tank. I did introduce new coral a good month ago, so I'm wondering if these are some sort of hitch hikers.

They basically look like small little bumps, covered in polyps. They almost look like the polyps from my Seriatopora, and one of the growths has pretty much the same color as the Seriatopora.

The first one has 5 polyps, if that's what you can call them, and is in a low light section of the tank.

The second one is pretty much between 2 acros on the rockwork, right in the center under the lights.

Sorry for the bad quality, but they're still pretty small and my phone has a hard time getting them in focus through the glass.

First I thought maybe a Majano anemone, but it would be weird having 2 that small and it looks more like polyps than anemone branches.

Any help IDing these would be much appreciated!

Looks like one of your corals pooped out a few babies!

So no Pocilopora? They'll readily spawn in the aquarium and you'll end up with babies popping up across the tank.

Seriatopora can do this as well, although less frequently I believe.

It's definitely likely you either had a few tips break off and land in those locations or you had a spawning event occur and a few babies attached and will grow.

That's... awesome. Didn't know they could do that.

I don't have any Pocilopora. My Seriatopora is S. Caliendrum Birds of Paradise variant.

My tank is going to get crowded :p.
