Try ReefBrite - heard they have DE in stock again.

If RB bulbs are again in stock, then this is one promise that has come through. At $54, could be a nice Phoenix option if they have good output.

Let us know how they are. Might pick up some 400s to have.

Addendum: @aquavista99 Are you still running your Ushio 14K bulbs? Found some awesome coral shots on your thread under that bulb. Certainly didn't help my decision in not buying more bulbs at the moment, but here we go.
Adding on as I would like to know how close these are to radium or color as a whole.

Awesome thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a 20k and a 14k. Was running on fumes with 250w DE stuff

Yeah parwise meter
I also have a parwise but have never measured par in my tank with anything else. Have you use other par meters , and if so how did that compare to the parwise?

I’ve owned apogees in the past. I feel like they over shoot the actual value but who really knows. My main goal is just consistency with par, not necessarily the numbers.

Thanks, I like the spectrum aspect of the parwise.

So what kind of equipment is required to be able to actually produce the bulbs. If the market truly is 100k a year, someone will keep making them, they'll be $120 and probably only be 2-3 colors in 2 different wattages, but they'll keep making them.

Phoenix is what I run! Impossible to find now. I’ll have to check those out

I too would like to know this. Especially since I was told by Hamilton they were trying to find raw material sources. I figured they would have found something or had sources still, but I also understand things can change. Still curious though.

They look nice. Visually brighter than the radium. Waiting on a tank delivery for this fixture. Ushio has always been a top quality bulb. Don't think you can go wrong as a radium replacement since they're not readily available.

With all of this talk, I organized and sorted all of my stash. I found a Giesemann Infiniti in a box that I forgot that I had... another Infiniti that I knew that I had but have no idea why there is a internet cable coming out of it. I found a few new AquaMedic 4' lights that had the AB bulbs in them - so never used. I found a few other fixtures that came with extra ballasts and bulbs. I am such a dummy.

I found way too many UVL VHOs - might give these to the aquarium since they still use them for some breeding station.

If anybody needs a 4 foot MH fixture and is coming to Colorado to ski or vacation, hit me up - I do have too many!

They only downside is that you are going to like them and leaving is not easy. Radiums are kinda like sex - you never see anybody who says "I tried sex once in college and it just wasn't for me!" You might not want or be able to use Radiums on every tank, but you will forever know what you are missing. I don't use Radium because I like the more sleek fixtures and 14k Phoenix is very, very close to where most cannot even tell. The new 20k Hamilton is also very easy to like and I doubt that anybody could tell the difference between it and a Radium, other than m80 330w output to 250w output.
