As a tax professional, the only way that they would count as a tax deduction is if they were for a professional setting such as an office. If you really wanted to push the envelope, you could try claiming it as a medical deduction (like the emotional support peacock) but I would not want to try to defend that to the irsSo since this is a back to school sale, do purchases count for tax deductions?
