I was really busy this weekend so didn't get much done. I was able to unbox and test the cross flow CP40 and it seems pretty powerful.
My first complaint is that the cable from the unit to the controller is not long enough. So I couldn't get it around the back of my tank stand into the cabinet. I had to drill a hole on the side facing the wall and tunnel it into the cabinet that way. The controller will be mounted beside my MP controller.
Ok, so the salt mix is mixed with the RODI and tank has been running.
Triple checking pipes etc for any moisture or leakage.
Checking optimal pump chamber water levels in case of power failure so the sump doesn't overflow. I have about 3 gallon of space in the sump so I'm good.
Have some LED strips in but haven't decided on placement yet so they are just hanging there for now.
BRS Mini reactor is plumbed in and running to test as well. It hasn't been mounted yet and just sitting on the edge of the sump.
Here is a video of the system running.
Its really really quiet imo.
First drain is on full siphon.
Second drain is completely dry as you will see in the video no water is coming out.
Pump is on 100% The Crossflow is on 3/4 max
You hear my computer ding in the video from across the room and my foot steps on the stool to get the top view
Also I put the phone inside the cabinet to show you all the sound with the skimmer and pump and return. Of course there is some noise in there but nothing when you are standing right in front of the tank.
