My algae problem seems to be getting better. These LEDs are pretty intense. I raised them to about 15 inches above water and lowered my whites.
Rocks now just have the brown dead algae that sticks around.

My lights being low before and the intensity seemed to have bleached some of my corals. Hope they color back up now that I have adjusted the lights.

So instead of dropping a fortune on an MP40, and the fact that my current MP10 doesn't hold well on the 1/2" glass (yes it says this on their site). It will go back on my other nano tank.

I decided to try out the Jebao PP 15 as a value powerhead wave maker. This thing can move water.... I have it on the lowest setting, should have got the PP8 or even 4.

Besides that, it is really quiet which meets my needs since the tank is in the living room. I would say it makes less noise than my MP. I'll post a video later.

Quality wise, despite what some have said, I don't see a huge drop compared to the eco tech. The magnets are stronger. But the controller, yes the quality is not as high as the eco tech but well worth it for what you pay imo.

I have the same complaint as I do for the cross flow. The cable from the powerhead to the controller is too short.

Currently I have it set on ripple mode. This combined with my crossflow, I don't think I will have any flow issues or dead spots in my tank. Especially with the floating reefscape. I may even move this to my larger tank and downgrade as it is really powerful and I am under utilizing it.

I'm going to swap out my PP15 and opt for something less powerful. I have the wifi controller for this and the setting is on 20%. I think it is under utilized and will be putting it in my other tank.

I plan to get something smaller like a PP4 and hook it up to a backup battery. Looking at the coralbox which should run the PP4 for 48 hours should there be a power issue.
The Winter is on its way and I must prepare for any potential power outages, I've been through ones that last 3+ days in the past :(

So I had some phosphate issues and starting impacting my corals. Algae started growing all over the rocks, not long green hair algae but still enough to start annoying me.
I started to use GFO. I am used to using BRS GFO HC but wanted to take this opportunity to try some PO4x4.

I ended up covering my whole tank with garbage bags and had the lights off for three days. This helped as all the algae on the rocks disappeared. This, in addition to the GFO seem to be working. Will need to continue to test and monitor.

I've also been slowly working on my rock flower anemone garden, trying to get a bunch of different colors

Great Flower Anemone Garden. :)

You'll have to post up a FTS.

Do you like the black substrate?

Thanks Tahoe61!

I do really like the black. Since my background is black it really makes my corals stand out and helps emphasis the floating rockwork when standing away from a distance.

My other tank is my avatar pic and also has black substrate.

I've ordered some orange filters and will post FTS when it comes in.

Wow, it's been so long since I've posted.

For my fellow reefers who have been asking how my equipment has performed, they have had no issues.

Had some major life changes that had to put the hobby on hold.

I've done some changes to the tank with the livestock (sold some off/traded etc)
