Hello, hard plumbing a new setup and looking for how much soft tubing (silicone??) to splice in between the return pump (Varios4) and return bulkhead to be useful. Also, secondary sump pump (Varios2) to manifold which is mounted up high in stand. I know this is a YMMV question, but I’m hoping there’s an answer somewhere between “this much” isn’t enough and “that much” should do it.

I’m padding underneath the pumps with silicone trivet chingasis so I’m focusing on vibration avoidance via PVC with this question.

Oh, and is silicone the ticket here?

Thanks!

Not sure how much you need but if you do not have any sharp bends I would go with silicone tubing. It's much easier to work with and I feel it does better at reducing vibration. Just my oppinion having used vinyl and silicone.
