Hi everyone,

I am using this thread to document my progress with my current tank in the hobby. I have been reef keeping for about 8 years now and have had many ups and downs. My most successful tank was a 72 gallon bow front which I had to take down due to a move. This was a full on mixed reef stocked to the gils. It was my first time moving from one household to another and I lost everything but two clownfish (my orignals) and their anemone. I ran a 90 gallon which was unsuccessful to my standards (not being able to keep sps and some Lps) and debated on quitting the hobby. I eventually had to move again and parted out my tank and most corals. I toughed out a move and decided to continue on with softies but this wasn't enough for me. A rimless 57 was fun for a bit and I loved the look! But the dimensions made for poor rock work and flow in the tank (at least with how much rock I stocked it with). It was a nice setup but eventually parted with it.
This leads to the current tank: a 95ish gallon rimless diamond edge aquarium made by a well known large aquarium builder in California. This tank is easily my favorite as far as dimensions thus far. 36x30x21
This allows me to have a very open look utilizing negative space, open water and creative aquascaping. I want to go full mixed reef with this tank with LPS, and SPS dominating. It seems that our local area is turning more towards zoas/palys which I really enjoy, but I must say that I love how SPS can look as well as nice colonies of chalices and acans. This tank will accommodate most/ if not all the corals I currently take care of.
This is it for now. I will post pics in a bit as well as major equipment.

So like I mentioned, the tank is a 36x30x21. I love this stretched out cube. It is just tall enough but not too tall that I'd really need a ladder to reach over.

Equipment list:

Maxspect razor 16k 27"
Water Blaster 3000 for return
MP40s 2x for flow
ATB840 V2 for filtration

This build will require 4 separate tanks/sumps to be plumbed. The display tank and "display" fuge will be supplied from the sump. The drain from the main feeds am inline frag tank which also drains into the sump.

The stand was made with 2x4s which I skinned with hardwood and put three cabinet doors. It stands 36" tall which is a great height for viewing.
I'll post a previous photo soon, but here is the finished product:

Looking good. Can't wait to see this done! I like the closet idea :)
I would probably move that outlet off the floor though.
