Welcome! What happened to your tank that you lost all your corals?!
It parted at the seam. Typical of red sea I guess. I know I won't have anything to do with red sea anything going forward. Should have taken the advice and stayed away from it in the first place. But you live and you learn.

Hello all, My name is Skyler and I'm a reefer based out of West Texas.
I've been in the hobby for just over 2 years but as a "Fly on the Wall" never getting involved here on R2R but have learned so much from here. Seems like any question I googled over these 2 years gave me a link to some thread here that had the exact info I had been looking for. (This place is amazing and full know Knowledge) I'm extremely extroverted but finally feel confident enough in my reefing skills to hopefully contribute to the knowledge while continuing to acquiring much more. Because I know I don't know it all and there's always more to learn, But only if your minds open to the new information. Anyway tangent aside (dang ADHD lol) The title is preparing for a new journey. Well the last 2 years I've been walking this SW hobby path with a used Red Sea Reefer 525XL..... And you guessed it. My Red Sea done went and Red Seaed on me. Moses done went and parted that Mfer. I lost all my coral all but 2 goni colonies, Cabbage leather and a mushroom rock....Out of over 20 torches, 15-20 hammer colonies wall and branching like 10 frogspawns, several acanthos, scolys, SPS the list goes on. My enire 2 year collection...Idk how much mula gone. On the plus side. Because you gotta stay positive. I was able to save all my swimming, Sliding and crawling friends. (x15 Fish, x5 Starfish,
1 Urchin a snowflake eel and my CUC. I'm lucky I had a tank set up already cycled I hadn't done much with yet to get them into temporarily.
So anyway I've already designed and acquired all new equipment for a new build. Going all out with this one. Building the tank I dream about. Within my means that is. Cause I could always dream bigger lol. Think Polos Reef :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: Will be ordering the tank at the end of the month. Hopefully it's not on back order much longer and the timing all works out. Stay tuned for my new build thread if your interested in following. I'm holding off starting that thread until tank has been ordered. Don't wanna jinx it lol.

Hi Skyler and Welcome! Here is a big 'HOWDY' from your DFW neighbor! OH MY GOSH, I am so sorry your first tank did what it did but WOW you sound well equipped to have dealt with that. Sorry for your losses but CONGRATS for saving so much!!
