43 , young folks are in the hobby at a great time. Test kits, lights, skimmers and equipment. I remember when I started test kits weren't even available near me and neither was the internet. Lol And we didn't know much about nutrients locally at least. You had to trust your lfs to give you good information or read a book that was one person's opinion. I still have a book that says undergravel filtration is the best. Maybe it is, but I will never try that.

A lot of changes in the hobby over the years! I remember when LEDs came out a ton f people thought they would never grow corals lol

It's great right now, only problem is you get so many different opinions.
True. Imo the Big 3 are important. But there a great wide target range. #4 and 5 No3 and po4 might be even more important cause you don't wanna bottom out po4. And if the po4 is higher no3 is imperative. That's just what I've seen over the years.
