Hi everyone, as the title shows I am looking for a good power head for my 13.5 evo, I have clowns, an goby-pistol shrimp pair, zoas, GSP, Duncan, chalice, hammer, psammocora, and some cyphastreas.

My current powerhead is hygger ECO slim wave maker 1600 GPH, I know this is WAY too powerful for my tank and I am looking for a better wave maker. If anyone has any suggestions then that would be greatly appreciated, Any extra info will be provided upon request.

I am also looking to sell my current powerhead and it would include all of the original pieces and I will have it fully cleaned if anyone wants it. If you do want it I live in the Dallas area of Texas, I might be able to ship it depending on where you live, but I will create a separate thread for all of the selling info later

If you are interested please let me know

Instead of adding powerhead - you could upgrade the return pump and add a Random Flow Generator® Nozzle.

For that tank and the inhabitants you have listed, I would go with a pump in the 300-400 GPH range and add a single 1/2in RFG - you wont even need a powerhead.

We even have a kit for that ;-)

I am using a Tunze 6020 for my fluval 13.5 coral quarantine tank and I find it perfect for that tank size.

Wow I don't know how that worked out, but that is the same powerhead that I currently have!
I also use this wavemaker in my 13.5 evo. It has a minimum low setting, but it goes below that setting if it's on random - that, plus a RFG nozzle on my return and having the flow aimed at the front glass from the back of the tank has helped to break up how strong it can be. If you can get your flows to clash together, it'll take some of the strength out of it and make the movement around the tank nice and random.
