Possible sick anemone

Wanted to give an update, I woke up this morning and it has moved back to it’s normal spot but just a bit higher then where it was.

How big is your tank? I did not read through the whole tread carefully so I may have missed it.
Your Magnifica have been in this tank for many years, so the equipment's, light and circulation should be adequate for it. Newly move, the tank is unstable and that is what your anemone does not like. I hope it is not too unhappy to cause it to walk into the Power Head or the overflow.
This species of anemone like to perch on a flat, up facing rock with plenty of light and current. I would recommend water change to keep the water condition good and provide it with what it like and hope for the best.
You are having a "trial by fire" in learning reef aquarium and have to keep one of the hardest, large animals alive and happy. Consider selling it to a seasoned reefer. If this anemone walks into the PH or overflow and get chew up, it has the potential of wipe out the non-clownfish in your tank.

How would you recommend a water change? It’s a 100 gal tank. Do I need to take out 1/4 at a time? Such as 25 gals and add 25 gallons of premixed saltwater?

It looks good! IMO.

As far as the water change, I would recommend only doing a 25% water change. Too big of a water change could cause parameter swings which can irritate the anemones.

These are the best pictures I got last night.

This looks to be a Haddoni Carpet Anemone (Stichodactyla Haddoni) which is one of the easier carpets to keep. I would guess that it is doing the same as the Mag and trying to find a more suitable location. Hopefully someone else can chime in and confirm.

It looks like there is quite a bit of detritus accumulated on the bottom of the tank from the moving process, I would try to siphon out as much of that as I can, during the water change.

The carpet was up under a bunch of rocks originally before I got the tank like it was hiding, light couldn’t even get to it. We couldn’t even see it and didn’t know it was there until we started taking the rocks out of the tank to be moved and he was stuck to the bottom of the tank, I had no idea what it was I assumed it was some sort of mushroom or something.

Would it be best to fill up some buckets and premix the salt in the buckets, or let the RO pump into the tank and add salt to it?

No problem! You kinda got thrown into the deep end with this and there is a learning curve in this hobby so I’m glad I can help.

Mixing saltwater should never be done inside the tank with inhabitants. Always use a separate container, most people use a 33 or 55 gallon brute trash can from Home Depot/ Lowe’s.

There are a few different ways to get rid of them:

Berghia Nudibranchs are a guaranteed way of eliminating them but they get expensive the more of them you need and after all the aptasia is gone they will perish as that is the only thing they eat.

Molly Miller Blennies, Peppermint Shrimp, Aptasia Eating Filefish are also good however the caveat to these is they have been known to go after corals, the last two seemingly more than the first.

And then there is chemicals you can buy ( Aptasia X, F Aptasia etc.) but these require more work to implement.

I see you have green Palythoas…. Those also release toxins if disturbed.

Yellow Arrow- Annoyed or shedding Toadstool leather corals
Blue Arrow- green toadstool
Red Arrow- Kenya tree leather
Orange Arrow- either Xenia or Anthelia
Purple Arrow- Green Palythoas

I would change anywhere from 10-25% of the water at a time when you do water change. Male sure salinity match and temperature is not too different. Fluctuate a few degrees with water change is acceptable. Pump it out then replace with aged fresh mixed water. I normally age the water at least 24 hrs, with circulation PH in the mixed container.
