Looking great Dave!

Thanks, but I really need to come down to GA so you can hook me up with some of your gems! Can you say baby red plate LOL? I'm serious, just name the time and place and I'll come and drool with $$ in hand. Probably ought to wait until after January to make sure I don't get laid off next month though.

Dave, are you about ready to upgrade to a bigger tank yet?

And you can prolly forget about the red plate. Rev teased everybody a year or so ago but never came through with any babies! :too_sad:

Quick FTS, white balance adjusted under actinics so colors a bit funky (esp. blues):

How are you attaching the frag plugs to the rock? are you drilling all the rock?

Nice tank!

Are you using all stock solana equipment in the rear chamber? How is yours set up? Just curious. I have one as well, but have more SPS and need a better skimmer.

Merry Christmas!

All frag plugs are epoxied and super glued to the rock. I replaced the "stock" skimmer with the AquaMaxx HOB unit. I modded the "stock" unit by making the impeller like a pin wheel by grinding off notches on the impeller blades, leaving only "needles" sticking up. Takes a steady hand to do this but really makes the bubbles very small, so small you can get microbubbles in the display if things aren't adjusted right. I also increased the number of holes in the pump intake and the little "beaker-looking" bubble-plate equivalent on the output of the pump and it produced so much foam I had to raise it a couple of inches off the bottom AND add a piece of plexi to the collection chamber to raise that as well. Not hard to do and probably increased the output by a factor of two or more because I have a heavy bioload in that little tank as well as a few collectible SPS. My PM, Oregon tort, Aussie highlighter yellow carduus and red mille look even better than they did in the 320 gallon tank.
