it’s been 3 days and there is almost no weird smell. Seems like it is fine
phyto smell very foul- safe?

It is definitely fine. I noticed a pretty decent increase in my pods dosing this stuff for past few days from when i was without pyto for a week and the corals look like they are a little happier. The bottle smells earthy and there is zero bad smell. My opinion is that a very small layer of phyto died at the top.
