I think you're just going to have to open up your windows. I'm in the same situation, it's just too hot- but for like an hour or so in the mornings, I'll open windows about 4inches closest to the tank and then I'll do the same late night.. It's not much strain on your AC and electricity.

I didn't open the windows for a few days and you can see it in the graph.

I wish I had a clean graph like that! Look at mine!

My graph will look exactly like that if I don't exchange the air in the house. My next attempt is setting up a fuge; it's a bit tricky because I have an AIO, but the previous owner had one in the chambers, so I don't need to cut out any plastic from the back since that's already done.
It's a bit too hot to order in some cheato unless I pay overnight, and I just don't feel like paying that shipping fee for some seaweed :face-with-head-bandage:

For small tanks, you can grow chaeto in a GAC/GFO reactor. I am sure that somebody makes one with a light in it, but I have no idea.

If you live anywhere near a big city, there should be free chaeto around. I throw away 5 gallons at least once a month it is rare that anybody wants any.

That's actually a good shout- I'm going to check with the local club to see if anybody has some.

In my house, running a reverse light cycle fuge kept the lows from getting as low, but did not do anything with the high pH value - I needed fresh air for this.
