Is there a continuous PH controller / Monitor out there that doesnt cost hundreds of dollars? I am seeing the Milwaukee PH controller but the one feature I don't see is some sort of charting so that I can address variables that happen that I might not be aware of. I really dont want to spend $400 on a GHL starter kit (although I probably could have tried to get one cheap the other day!! :) ) nor do I want anything to do with Neptune and BRS. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not aware of any particularly inexpensive controllers that allow logging.

Pinpoint has a moderately priced controller, but it doesn't log values.

I am also in the market for a controller. I was going to just buy a cheap pen type just to check ph for now but down the road I want to start dosing kalk and I have no apex or anything.

When I google ph moniters I see pinpoint and milwaukee mc 122 for the most part. So I figure I may as well buy a better one now to save the expense of buying two of them! PLus I hand dose soda ash so I really would like to have an idea of where my ph is before and after dosing it!

Do the milwaukee or pinpoint have a replaceable probe? Is one better then the other? Are the pretty reliable about shutting of the dosing pump if ph gets to high and do I need to buy a doser made by them in order for it to shut off the pump or will it shut off any doser?

Appreciate any advice!

While I have never used it, the Pinpoint pH controller does have a replaceable pH probe.

You need to look at the X3. 299 for the starter pack. 199 for just the controller and build from there.
I was just looking at that earlier this morning. :)
