I have a 180… ran Uv all the time.. took it offline 2 months ago… recently I had 3 clowns die then 2 more 5 days after then my mandarin gobby and finally my coral beauty.. have had them over a year.. I then noticed an outbreak of ich on my tang I forgot the name the one with the white tail… turned uv back on after seeing the ich.
The fish that survived are a lawnmower blenny, yellow chorus wrasse, melanarus wrasse, yellow tang, blue hippo tang, fox face and 2 chromis… wondering why these fish made it and others didn’t? And was the uv helping all this time? Probably shouldn’t have taken it offline

Some listed are less prone to ich and somewhat resistant. Additionally, UV will not remove what is pre-existing but what is free floating and passes through the unit.
Please provide a video of the remaining fish

Firstly, the tank looks great and well balanced.
The fish themselves appear clear with exception of a couple of dots on rabbit and I believe Kole tang. Looks like sand grains but could be ich. IF this is ich, each day you will see an increase in dots and a new location on fish.
Assure they are getting a good diet and continue to monitor them

Fish in the video look good.

How long has it been since the last fish died?

Fish that die from ich will be completely covered with spots - to the point where they sort of run together. Did the dead fish look like that before they died?

What I’m getting at is the fish may have ich, but are they dying from ich? The mandarin should have been one of the last to die and the hippo should have gotten it pretty bad…..

It’s crazy the mando died a week before all this went down… all the fish that died I have no idea where they are.. can’t spot them. And they never showed signs of ich just the Kole tang did… hippo never showed signs of ich also.

After two weeks, I generally consider that an active infection has passed - so you are halfway there.
