Tank is officially alive!!! Took 4 days to fill with RO. Kicked the pumps on and started heating the water! Was a good day Thursday. To finally see the tank circulating water was a good feeling. Also added the canopy I had built. Love the way it looks. The doors aren’t hinged doors but completely removable to allow for access in the tank. Still have to paint the stand and the replacement cabinet doors to match the canopy I’m impressed that one 600 watt heater is keeping the temp up I have a second so that they aren’t having to run as long to keep the temp stable
About to start dumping salt in the sump to mix little at a time. Hopefully by next week ill be able to start moving the apex and all the livestock to the big tank!

Finally moved the livestock to the 240!! Transfer took about an hour and a half. I was soaking wet my oldest daughter got fish slapped in the face by my adorned wrasse trying to escape. Everything made the 10 foot transition well!! Still gotta transfer the apex but that can happen another day!

Just placed my first order with reef beauties. Will be adding an Orange shoulder tang, naso tang, blue tang and a two barred rabbit fish. I’m excited to try a new online supplier and the prices were fantastic!

Could not be happier with reef beauties! Communication was awesome! The four fish acclimated really well. Kept the lights off for a while but, everyone ate flake food from the get go!! Will definitely be ordering from them again!!
Now if jerk cherub angel would leave everyone alone we would be golden. Did put two mirrors on the tank to try and help with aggression.

Finally moved over the remaining noops from the Tideline. So total of 6 over the 240. Also, moved all the apex gear and got everything hooked up. Last thing is to setup the kalk stirrer via apex, but that can wait.

Picked up a trident from the marketplace. Got it all hooked up Monday evening. Been running great. Numbers are consistent even before it’s been calibrated. Will calibrate everything this evening.
Have always wanted on but never pulled the trigger!

Trident has been running like a champ!
Lost the juvi naso I got from reef beauties. Had been in the tank for about 20 days. Never really took to eating well. No signs of disease that I could tell.
Decided to swing into petco today just to see what they had. Well came home with 4 new additions. 3 carberri anthias that they had for about 3 weeks. Ate super well in store. And the newest crown jewel of the tank! This 4-5 inch harlequin tusk! I had previously decided not to add one due to their less than stellar survival rate as of late because of cyanide fishing. I couldn’t help myself! Ate like a pig in the store and immediately after being released into my tank!
Only some slight chasing of the tusk from my jerk cherub angel.
