My initial plan was to drill my 60g marineland heartland tank but it seems that the silicone seal was coming apart after the tank sat dry for three years. I didn't want to take the chance so I decided to get a new tank. I've been eyeing a waterbox for a year or so. Went and ordered it on June 13th. It was delivered on the 20th.

I spent the next week fiddling with the stand and leveling it.

Today, my cousin came over to help finish up the stand and move the tank. We had to put shims to the feet. Holy ****, we didn't think it would be that heavy with both of us. We used IMT 10" vacuum cups to help lift it to the second floor.

With the tank on the stand, there is a slight wobble. I reached out to Waterbox for a reinforcement kit. Without water, it is currently perfectly level. Hopefully this stays the same when I do a leak test.

This tank is stationed where I had my 60g heartland and my 20g with 10g sump tanks. It is along the exterior wall of the house. The joists are perpendicular to the tank.

Next up is getting some fittings to connect to a COR20. I took out the stock barb fitting on the waterbox and put in the ANSI part for a conversion to 3/4". I just need to figure out barb fittings for both the COR20 and waterbox so I can use a 3/4 vinyl tubing.

Thanks for the write up! I’m in the same boat as you, just setting up a 110.4. I have a question about how you leveled it, did you just simply use the leveling feet and adjust it once the tank was on? I haven’t put my tank on it, but I have the stand fairly level now but I expect to have to do some adjustments when I put the tank on. Did you use shims under the leveling feet?

Thanks!

I leveled it with the feet then used shims under the feet before setting the tank on it. Once we got the tank up, we checked the level and nothing changed.

Great looking tank! Do you have a future stocking plan with it?

Currently what I am planning to get:

2x The obligatory clownfish (checking out some designers, haven't settled on what yet)
1x Captive bred Kamohara Blenny
Firefish
Reef-safe wrasse
Dragonet in the future once pod population is in boom.

Not sure of what else

Corals:
Mainly just Softies and LPS.

I had finally decided to upgrade to a waterbox 150.4 and began saving with the plan of purchasing it on Black Friday. Thea few months ago my 24 yo daughter got engaged and the wedding is in less than a year. The upgrade is going to be postponed until Black Friday of 2025. Waterbox are great aquariums. I look forward to seeing your build.
