I am beta testing the brand new Redbox streaming movies service. I dumped cable years ago and have been using Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, over the air HD, and a few other streaming services. So how does Redbox Streaming stack up against Netflix? Well, it doesn't. And it doesn't look like they will threaten Netflix anytime soon with their plethora of B movies. I think some may even be C movies. They are just getting started, so we will see how they progress.
The Redbox subscription service may still be right for some of you though. If you already rent 4 redbox movies a month then you already spend over $5. It may work out if you do not already have Netflix. It is $8 a month and includes 4 DVD rentals per month along with unlimited streaming. There are a few A movies in there now, but hopefully they get more added in the near future.
