My NY Knicks grabbing mysis out of the water column. Never seen a torch eating so aggressively. I think this little polyp given to me by a friend will grow fast. Thanks Clayton.
Got to do something about that aiptasia.

I was at Petco again today. They have this rack of assorted corals for 14.99. I saw this Stylocoeniella thấy I think is “Burning Banana”. It have been there for months but I have not been thinking of buying coral for a long time. I decided to chance it and buy it. More than 1 square inch of Burning Banana for 15 dollars is very cheap IMO. This is picture of the coral after about 15 mins in my tank, under bluish color light and under white light.
What do you guys think? Stylocoeniella or not? If yes, Burning Banana or not?
TIA

I guess I got reinfected reef fever. I have been going to Petco to look at some coral, fish and anemones.
yesterday I got this Stylocoeniella that is possibly Electric Daisy for $15. It was a receding dull color one but it has reddish tinted polyps and green-blue tentacles oral plate with reddish tentacle.
anyway. Bought it as a assorted coral. Hopefully it will color up for me. If this and my other Stylocoeniella turn out to be what I think it is, I am ecstatic. I am still happy if only one turn out as I hope.
here is my new coral that I think likely to be Electric Daisy Stylo
First picture under slight blue light while the second one under full Radion at 100% of all colors.

A friend of mine gave me this small frag of Looney Tunes Stylocoeniella. It is small but already started to grow. Under bluer light it is spectacular.

Happy New Year. It is the first day of year of the Cat today (Rabbit for the Chinese). May this new year bring much happiness, success and good health to you all and your family.

My bleached Crocea, due to shading from Xenia, is recovering well but I need to go after the Xenia again.

I got a new fish from Petco. Small Convict Tang. He was at Petco for several week, eating so I am given him a try. I always wanted a Convict tang and they are not easy to get to start eating. He is needed in my 40 bal.
before the Tang Police arrest me, I do have a 320 gal that he will go into when he is getting larger. He is only slight longer than 2 inches at this time.
here he is. He got into my QT system last night and is eating today so don’t have a pinched stomach anymore. He is still thin but as long as he is eating, I am sure he will be fine.

Saw this mimic tang at Petco. What a beauty. I am not a fan of the adult coloration of Mimic tang so I did not buy it. Also very small, slightly larger than 2 inches. If this tang just stay as is, it would be the most beautiful tang I have ever seen. Maybe a little thin, but still beautiful.

I took picture of my Red Mangrove this AM. I had it into my tank Friday. So far there is no wilting or discolored or drop leave. I think it will be fine and I did not damage the root getting it from Petco back to my tank.

Happier and happier with this clam. The Nick’s Purple Passion is also an outstanding coral. The Dino in my QT system is given me problems. Don’t know how to get rid of this.
