I originally set the bucket it in my utility room and the smell was horrible so I took the bucket and put a lid on it and took it outside. Now I’m afraid to take the lid off. I may eventually dump some bleach in there.
I only kept it because I thought maybe someday I could use it in a calcium reactor, but honestly I’ve never used one and probably never will. Plus the amount of calcium carbonate from that single coral is probably an insignificant amount anyway.
