I love jellyfish and would love to keep them but I’m not committed to the specialty tanks, cost, and care to actually do it. I love to watch them though

I kept jellies before and would again. They don't live all that long though compared to our other marine life, so that needs to be on the radar for anyone planning to keep them.

if it wasn't said earlier there are a handful of jelly sellers out there. a specialized tank that not much else would get used for at a high price is tough. $600 tank plus $50 a jelly? And they need lowered temp for this unit. Maybe if they incorporated a tiny chiller into the aquarium for that price instead of relying on your own house AC to cool it. I think this would be a great sleep aid for a kids night light.

forgot to mention the short cycle like an octopus. at least the octopus you still have a usable tank for fish. BTW what does the tank for an octopus require cleaning wise after one dies? is it just water change out or do you need to disinfect all the rocks and gravel as well? I know it's a big change out if it inks; is it just that for the toxicity?

After going crazy with my WB20, I decided to have a cylinder 5 from Jellyfish Art, and so far so good, almost a year with it, my jellyfish, some problems (like anything that is alive LOL) but customer service there is exceptional and helped me a lot along the process.
I have problems with my Jellies sticking to the filter panel?

Just got back into keeping jellyfish myself. First try was with a Jellyfish art tank, which lasted about 8 months. It was pretty hard to keep up with feeding and water quality in a small tank. Just recently started up a new jellyfish tank, this time 25 gallons. Using a Jellykeeper drop in filter to convert a Mr Aqua tank into a Jellyfish safe tank. Got my jellies from JellyfishArt.

Having the option to use a protein skimmer and rollermat will greatly improve water quality and stability, which is one of the major hurdles keeping jellyfish happy.

Jellyfish should last many years. Travis from Jellyfishwarehouse was telling me there was a public aquarium that kept a moon jelly for 10+ years. The experiment ended only because someone mixed in other moon jellies and they couldn't tell which was the older one.

Jellyfish are a little spendy if you're ordering larger moon jellies. However Jellyfish art has their smalls for only $25, which is cheap. Yeah, it'll take several weeks till they're good size and fill in the tank. I just think about what I spend on fish or corals, and jellyfish aren't too bad. There are also many species of moon jellies, some which are tropical. Not certain which species jellyfish art offers, guessing one that appreciates cooler water. But Travis is working with some tropical moon jellies that'll do better in warm tanks.
