Never saw anything pretty while surfing. Sharks, rays, spot, jellyfish.... sea lice and plenty of bait balls. Never reef fish. Bounced off a few reefs before and maybe stepped on a black spiny urchin and have had my toe munched on by a crab... but never reef fish.
Did have a friend make a puffer extremely mad in barbados while we were snorkling. He deserved to get poked, but alas didn't.
Same trip we had a guy who had no business surfing the size stuff we were in (break called soup bowls). First day there of 2 weeks... Not strong enough to paddle out of the rip into the lineup and ended up having to walk in 100 yds or so on the reef on the wrong side of the rip... neck to ankle deep. Got reef rolled by an overhead monster. Stood up and was bleeding from a thousand itty bitty slices all over his his body. Got to pour peroxide on him every day for two weeks and watch him foam like mentos and coke. Was amazing, he did not surf the entire trip.

last week, a nurse or bamboo shark swam right past me, I was in 2 feet of water, scared the bejesus out of me, somebody else and I got straight out of the water, ik they will only attack if threatened, but I didn't want to take the riskNever saw anything pretty while surfing. Fun fact, you CAN actually find some tropical reef fish off Long Island currently. They drift up the Gulf Stream during the summer and settle, usually dieing off in October. Ther are scuba clubs that collect them as far as Rhode Island.

I have surfed with more sharks that I can count and never really gave it too much though. I guess I always assumed they are there wether you can see them or not and if your number is up, it is up. Some pretty large white tips and black tips in Costa Rica almost every day, but they pulled two HUGE tiger sharks in about 100 yards from the break were were surging in Tamarindo. That was a bit unsettling, though it did not stop us from surfing. Fin soop in town that evening for dinner!
Been in the water with some crazy big bulls and whites at monster hole (Sebastian Inlet, Fla) a few times too. Once in a huge lighting storm no less. It was a crazy big day with crazy big sharks (I mean everywhere) and balls of lighting. Somebody would yell SHARKS (plural) coming your way. Over and over... like okay, stop paddling, pull your legs up and don't look like food. The lineup was huge (had to be 75 or more people out) and I think everybody kept looking at everyone else for some false sense of security. Nobody left the water. Looking back it was one of the dumbest things I think that I (we, all of us) likely ever did.
I have also witnessed two different shark attacks first hand in Myrtle beach a few years apart, both tourists and both in shin to knee deep water. Crazy.
But that was in the 80's and 90's. I am land locked and have been for decades.... I am not sure that I would even surf anymore given the number of attacks I see over the last decade.

My little brother. I taught him how to take care of the freshwater tanks, salt water tanks, and pond. I tested him for 3 days, didn't do anything to the tank and it was fine. All I need to do is order fish food.

Which I call BS on! She doesnt have a legit business and youre very impressionable so she is using that and playing you and lying. Sorry to be blunt but thats exactly whats happening, I dont want you to get screwed more than you already have. I wouldnt even deal with them anymore at all no matter what they “offer” you

I think it was a simple mistake. I'm not buying from them again, but I think that it's fair to let them atleast try to make it up. I already got my money's worth.

Not really, its not a simple mistake. Look at their reviews on ebay. And they will charge you for their “mistake” to get more money. Ive dealt with her before and shes the most untrustworthy seller Ive ever encountered. Trust me on that.
Some people have to learn the hard way and some never learn at all.
Talking about videos of fish, never sent. The fish most likely came from a wholesaler.
A nursing student isn’t running a fish store LOL

Yeah, I explained in the tread earlier. Found her store on ebay. Didnt have bad reviews at the time so I bought a pack of shrimps. All but two DOA. She ignored me for a week when I reached out and so I gave her a bad review and that got her attention. She told me to change it and I told her nope not until I get a refund. She refunded me like 25 bucks for over half my 100 dollar order dead. Said she didnt tell me she shipped cause she forgot and was “busy with law school” but she shipped on a friday for monday delivery only monday was a HOLIDAY. So they came Tuesday. Her fault 100%. She then offered to “make it right” by offering me a free fish. Was talking with her and decided on a basslet. She then sent me an invoice for 200 bucks plus shipping! Like thats more than it was listed on your store for one and two you said it was free and I paid shipping. Told her to stick it. She still tries to send me offers of fish on her store on ebay but I ignore her. Shes got like a 70% rating now, awful store. Trust me, she will NOT make it right. Cut your loss and find another vendor.
that's crazy, could you dispute for them being dead and poor shipping? Who ships live animals on a Friday?!
I feel bad for anything under her care. Some people have no compassion for living things.

So it may or may not be an emergency again, I can't find the cbb, 1 shrimp or 1 of the anthias. They are probably in the rock work. My brother said he saw the cbb out in the morning before the lights turned on. I baited it out with the scent of food but still didn't see anything. Everything except for the damsal is staying in the rock work.
Don't tear the rock apart looking for it, it may or may not show up. That would stress it.
Unfortunately loss of fish in the few days after or a week isn't uncommon in sensitive species. Especially shipped ones.
BUT it also isn't uncommon for fish to hide for a few days either. The fact your brother saw the CBB before lights on is encouraging. The light being on now may make it more shy until it settles in.
