welcome and we have almost the same sized tank. It is very addictive. I’ve spent almost 3 grand in a few months.Hello All, I'm fairly new to the hobby. I've had freshwater fish tanks my entire life but never anything very involved. About a year ago my tank completely crashed. It was just a 20 gallon and when I went to my local Petco I began talking with a guy who was a saltwater enthusiast. He ended up convincing me it wasn't a whole lot of work to get a saltwater tank going and that I could just flip my tank not too expensively. Well, he was half right. I got it up and going relatively cheaply with a couple of clowns. What I did realize was that it was a gateway drug. I quickly moved up to a 29 and got rid of the over the back filter to a cannister way too large for the tank. After about 6 months I began adding anemone's and some coral. I tried and failed with the corals at first but after reading more and more began to get the hang of it. About a month ago I moved onto a 66 gallon and transferred most of what was in the 29 but left the original clowns in and added a Valenti Puffer because my daughter loves them and I did want to have to worry about him making a meal of the shrimp and clams. In any event I now spend more time looking at my tank or reading about the hobby than I do actually working. It is so addictive. I am just happy to be part of it!
