New Reefer

Hey everyone,

I’m a new reefer that set up a 40g reef tank this January . Currently this system has been running for over 2 months. It is stocked with a pair of clowns and 2 cardinal fish. I put my first coral in which was the GSP shortly followed by the zoas. Today I received a order from TSA with the Duncan, chalice and rock flower anemone. I was hoping to get some tips or thoughts on my tank.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. my tip would be...
To plan ahead and save space for some euphillias, most favorited corals. I was thinking your 2nd level rockwork should be good for them. where the duncans are at.
sps for the top rock. =)

i regret adding so much corals on my tank before i fell in love with em euphillias. I have a nano tank so space is limited.

I sense that you may be adding too fast to such a new tank. I suggest slowing down.

I still would say no simply because of their grown size. However, if you get a small one and can transfer when it gets large, then you could have it for a couple years probably.

I have been researching this all morning and decided to pull the trigger and ordered one. It's 2 inches now and I plan on keeping it in my evo for the moment. I plan on getting a 55 gallon tank within the next year so I will definitely have the space. I've just been worried it could die and it would nuke the tank.
