Reef n rolls filter rollers are pretty solid. I have one on my waterbox 25 and it does a great job. He makes them for all sizes of the waterbox series, IM, and some fluval's too.

Couple photos of it I could find in my phone.

Yeah, I'm a little confused about the 250 gph max flow rate, given the Red Sea Max Nano G2 XL is "NanoMat-ready" and has a 410 gph return pump.

I have a Max E-170 AIO where I've swapped out the protein skimmer for a Tunze and modified the surface skimmer to direct the flow into tray with two 2" filter socks. I can create an adapter to direct the flow into a NanoMat. But, with the Max E-170 having a 568 gph return pump, I don't know if the NanoMat will be constantly overflowing.

Gotta love 3D printers. :)
tshifter, I'd love to connect with you. I have the e-170 also and I just put in the Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9004 DC because it was less expensive than the replacement pump alone. I'm interested in your modification(s).

Been using the Isealive one and couldn't be more happier. Big game changer compared to washing socks every second day. Each roll will last me a little over 3 weeks.

Was about to order these, but waiting to see how the red sea nanomat fits with the waterbox.

I did some basic measurements on my NUVO 20 and it looks like it will just fit with few cm's on either side, the spillway might have to be modified however. I will probably still go with either the custom made one by isealive or the actual IM filter roller although those are both manual, until someone proves that it fits and works.
Checking in to see if you ordered the Red Sea option

He also charges $250 each... kind of expensive honestly and the rolls are stupid expensive that he sells.
Reef N Roll Unit- $240, comes with 1 roll (MKReef promo code for $5 off)
Reef N Roll- $19.99 for three replacement rolls when buying unit, otherwise 2/$19.99, ~80ft per roll
RS Nano Unit- $199, comes with 1 roll
RS Nano Unit- $20.99 for two replacement rolls, 59" per roll

The cost between the units is comparable and both are expensive. The rolls are nearly identical in price and roughly 20ft longer than the RS rolls. If both units never need repair and just replacement rolls, the Reef N Roll is going to be cheaper long term.

I have a roller fleece mat on my Red Sea 170

It's in the stand

And puts up a mighty stink, anyhow

I can only imagine the tank stink coming off all that dead stuff and detritus sticking up in the air like these roller

Someone should invent roller fleece with carbon embedded into the material. I would buy that

You’re not considering the fact that Reef n Roll charges $28 flat shipping on any order. That’s ridiculous. So reef N roll is definitely not cheaper…

Make sure y’all read up on the max flow that thing can handle, 250 gph…. I thought I had found the perfect fit for my Reefer 350 then I read that :frowning-face:

Edit to add that i have no room for any of the bigger models in my sump
Find yourself a Aquamaxx af-rs170 roller matt it takes the red sea 250 rolls. I run 3 of them.

I checked the Nano mat out at RAP. With some modifications you could probably use it in a AIO. The issue is the mouth is very narrow and you would have to create some sort of spill plate for it to work. Hence the low GPH rating. I have a IM 30L and use their rollermat which works with modification (you have to drill out the overflow holes out slightly or it messes with your salinity.
