I really recommend getting PS Elements. Reasonably priced (<$100), and really helps with color and post processing.

Have you ever shot with the Canon 100mm macro, if so, how do you like it compared to the Sigma you have?

thanks.....yes, they look MUCH clearer than with the XTi......the vividness blows me away......too bad i can't show ya'll what the RAW picture looked like.

battery just died on me.....so I'll have to try again tomorrow.

i've held the canon 100mm a couple of times. if you intend to only use primarily for the aquarium, get the 100mm and save yourself the extra $200 and get a battery grip.

i think the canon 100mm is more sharp than the sigma 150mm from the pics i've seen........probably due to better build quality.

if you plan to normally shoot insects outdoors, the sigma 150mm is probably better.
