Hi all -

I apologize if this isn't the right forum, I figured since I'm asking about adjustable powerhead to solve my issue that this might be the right place.

I have a spot in my tank (see image with circle) where I cannot seem to get enough flow to move the water to prevent algae from forming on the sand. I have two MP40's on each side of the tank that are staggered (one higher, one lower).

On the side where I have the dead spot, I have the pump return nozzle pointed towards the side glass thinking it would bounce off and move back down towards the sand, but that doesn't seem to work eiher.

I'm considering maybe a aimable Tunze powerhead but wanted to check with the experts first..

Looks like it dusts the substrate rather than loose patches.

I’d just keep parameters on point and maturity should take care of that.

Ah okay, thank you for that advice! Yeah the tank is about 3 months old now.

Every tank had a dead spot or two, nothing to worry about. I’d certainly do something about talk those cords though. Ruins the look!
