Thanks! Sorry I havent been on here in a while. I used the thick BRS superglue with the accelerator. After it hardened enough i used the TLF epoxy putty for extra strength.

I need an opinion about changing again my aquascape. I have a narrow and deep display tank (70 x 38 x 50 cm). First I used an aquascape with lots of rock and few spaces at the bottom. Then I’ve changed to one scape with an arch that put an large shadow area and continues limiting my space e and lightning better use. What you guys advise me to do. Change again? Could you give me an ideia?

If you need an outside perspective to help with improving your aquascape, just post here a few shots of your tank, and will try my best shot at providing specific advise according to your goals for the tank.
Sometimes I can just answer here, show the alterations using photoshop or make a video.
Just post here front shots with your cellphone/camera positioned at 3 different heights (sand level, centre and water level) and also a couple of angled photos, so that I can have a better understanding of your tank's layout.
This is a subject that is surprisingly not researched by most reefers and I have given some thought and some time ago I did a similar exercise in another forum.
It's also a great way for everyone to learn from each other and see a few freshwater techniques that we can apply and also many others that are specific for reef tanks.
In the meantime, if you want some inspiration here are a few videos I made with suggestions for different tank shapes.

Looks good! I would leave as much unglued as you can. I have been at war with bubble algae, aiptasia, etc. It really helps to be able to pull the rocks out of your tank.Hi! I’d love your input! Will be for mixed reef tank. The cardboard shows the tank dimension 48x24x16 inches.

MOAR rock. Nice scape but it needs more rock for fish territory and habitat and if you want to keep coral.80 gallon;
any thoughts?

NSA‘s are good, just make sure there is enough NSA for your liking but enough for fish hides.

New scape for my tank.
Previous scape had way to much vertical real estate and not nearly enough useable space for corals. Is also way too high in many spots, and being more of the NSA style doesn’t have a lot of hiding spots for my fish.
objective of new scape is much more horizontal surface area for corals, much less height and a lot more caves and nooks for fish to hide.
concern currently is it too much rock? Too busy?
highest point is 13” and tapers down from left to right essentially. 13” puts highest point just over halfway up, tank is 22” high.

Honestly I love it I envy it and think it’s a perfect scape. Height wise is good the nooks and low openness yet with all the caves fish will love and tons of real-estate for coral bur also some places for height and a large cave system. Looks perfect to me lol.

Hello everyone -
I wanted to add my piece of scape to get some feedback. I currently have a WB 110.4 that I have had for about a year. I have never been satisfied with my current rock setup so now I am trying to do it on my own.
I'm attempting at a "bonsai-scape" and this is what I came up with. I'll also attach some pictures that I generally drew inspiration from. I have all these ideas in my head of what I wanted and where this could go but I had to stop myself at some point and maybe in the future I can do others. I actually had alot of fun with this.
I used a combination of previous live dry rock from my old 45 cube and dry marco rock and the hope is that the purplish coraline from the old live dry rock will encrust the marco over time. I also kind of had the inspiration to use these contrasting colors after looking at a wawa cup (lol). The three branches are meant to have some frags...I was thinking acro or even maybe using red macro algae...the algae actually looking like leaves or the acro because as it grows out, I think would look beautiful. I was debating whether I should drill holes in the middle of the base ends to hold these frags but i'm having a bit of analysis paralysis on which size holes I want to give so i'm thinking as I get coral perhaps just cutting the ends and using epoxy to hold them down? I'm not sure about this either. I was also thinking about the base. As I made the top, I started to look at the base and was thinking of myself to see if I could get a tool to slim the base a bit to make the "twisted" look more pronounced but I wanted to get feedback on that as well as if anyone had any additional thoughts on if I should do anything else before I start seeding this rock

My partner helped me mock up my future scape (Waterbox 130.4) - I'll see what this looks like with real rock, but keen to know any feedback on the 3d model! Obviously all the sizes will be off, and I'm keen to make some caves within the scape, so generally looking for feedback on the shape/flow.

My only suggestion would be to keep the stack height somewhere between 1/2 to MAX 2/3rds of the water line height. I keep regretting building too tall each time, swearing I won't do it again.

I like the caves but i suppose it depends on what fish you are going to be adding whether or not they will be large enough. Wrasses dwarf angles and smallish tangs im sure would be fine.

Hey everyone. New IM 25 Lagoon. Rock is from TBS so this is a rough draft. This will be a softie tank with 2 clowns and maybe 1-2 other fish. Thoughts and suggestions?

Looks pretty good. Very naturalistic. I might move some of the rock further away from the side glass, though. It can sometimes be hard getting an algae scraper in places like that, and coral placement will be tough. Hope this helps!
