JBJ Nano cube 12. It is approximately 13 inch cube. I really want a castle, but it isn't working. Plan to keep a goby/shrimp pair. I'll include my inspiration pic.

Hi there, this is my 37 gallon Brackish water tank which is currently cycling for a Green Spotted Pufferfish. I definitely wanted to add more hiding spots and maybe more plants into the tank for the puffer but I know with Brackish tanks they tend to be more on the boring side because of the limited amount of things that can go inside them. Right now I have regular Alborz wood, spider wood, Java Fern, Anubias Nana, and some lava rock. I definitely want to get rid of the fake green plant and add something there but out of ideas.
I really would like to spice up my tank and make it look cooler but need some advice on what would look best and I wouldn’t want to rearrange anything too much because I already have my beneficial bacteria started up.
Please feel free to drop your opinions or advice as to what I should do! Thanks

Getting thoughts before I glue them together. Going in a 20 gallon cube with fish and softie/LPS coral. I also have smaller pieces (1-3 inches) that I can place around the structure if need be. And I should be able to get a nano flipper around the whole structure as well.

Hey guys,
Just wanting some feedback on this aquascape. Once I'm happy with the layout I'll be glueing and mortaring the pieces and filling the gaps making them look less like a pile of rocks.

I am just getting started. The one issue i have though is that i setup the tank and added water before gluing anything together. i have some Aquavitro bond that i plan to use to secure stuff together, but havent been able to get any input on whether i can do this under the water. Would prefer to do as much in the water as possible.

I need so much help. When it comes to sculpting, I really lack in creativity. I have spacial skills: I can pack a trunk like it’s nobody’s business, but I can’t make a decent aquascape to save my life. I have a 40g breeder. I started with a FOLWR island design. I liked it a lot, lots of room for fish to swim all the way around, I put in ledges to hide under and arches and internal cavities to sleep and hide. Here’s that design

The problem with this design is that there aren’t enough places to put coral. And the space behind the island is wasted. The fish never even swam back there.

My hope is to create several levels with lots of places to put coral. I moved a bunch of the rock to the back and ended up with this.. but it’s hardly artistic or inspiring. What do you think? What should I do? I have a bunch of rocks that I’m not using at all in these photos and can buy more (wouldn’t mind more live rock). Please help me create something visually appealing

Edit: the only rule is that I can’t move the arch rock that houses the nem. Or the rock next to it. He is a happy nem that found his spot and has remained there for months. I don’t want him walking around. Thanks

My rock work is all man made, they are flat on the bottom which makes building them up on each other rather ugly. Here are some pictures. I had to move them around when I first noticed Ich in the tank and had to take everything out in order to catch my fish for quarantine. When I put the rock work back together I tried making several caves so my tangs and damsels would have their own sleeping caves and not bicker so much. I can't say I love it and any input from you would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the blue lights, I can redo the pictures in white light if you need, my tank is going hypo and I've read that the white lights are conducive to algae growth or fast die off. I'm trying to control both just to be on the safe side.

I like it a lot. Only thing that might make it a little better would be making one structure taller

@Benreefnz I am by no means an expert at this but I do love to play around with dry rock, rock in my tank etc. You have quite a bit of the same shape of rock. Try changing them up a bit, turn some on their side, some upside down, some angled etc. It's a bit flat across from the end of taller rock to right end of tank. This thread has so many different scapes that I'm sure there's a few that might catch your eye. Look at them and try and replicate what you can with the rock you do have. Move them around until you are happy with it. Most important thing I've learned....Flow is important. You want flow to reach as many places in your tank as possible without blasting sand, corals or fish. 2nd important thing is....you are the one that has to look at it everyday, if it makes you happy, that's all that matters. Every tank is unique.
