Hello everyone,

My Potassium levels are quite low. 280ppm
I'd like to elevate them.

I purchased AF Component Strong A,B,C,K.
Instructions state to add 5ml of K to AF Reef Mineral Salt solution.
I don't have this.

Should I just add component strong K to my magnesium? 5ml K in 1000ml magnesium?
I'm dosing 28ml of magnesium per day.

Thanks!

If potassium is really that low, I’d want to raise it reasonably quickly, ignoring suggested dosing which are typically used to offset demand.

I’d just buy and dose food grade potassium chloride, such as from Now foods/I herb.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I would like to use the Stong K I have currently.
However I'm not sure of its strength.
I'm going test it on a gallon of tank water.
Pohl's concentrated potassium recommends 1ml/25g
So if I dose .04ml to 1 gal then test, I should see how much it raised the potassium level.
From there it's simple math to figure how much will be needed to hit my target level of 380ppm.

Seems reasonable, at least if you think the kit will detect changes accurately. The boost you are adding, however, may be hard to detect well.
